Some uplifting facts I learned today: Towson University has THE LARGEST, yes, THE largest, art education program IN THE COUNTRY— yes, more than art schools, more than any other school IN THE COUNTRY. LARGEST. It has one of the best art education programs in the country (if not best) Except for last year, Towson’s art education program had a 100% placement rate. Meaning EVERY SINGLE...

I actually get to semi-teach, observe in classrooms, make lesson plans and create teacher examples for projects I will give my students this semester!!! This semester is going to be WONDERFUL! And in my Monday Wednesday class (which is from 9:30-2:30) I get an hour lunch break. So I can read (or do homework…) At least Mondays will be great!

I’m really excited right now! I saw my professor put up my syllabus for the secondary ed class I’m taking this semester… apparently part of the class is 20 hours of observation. You are assigned a mentor teacher (in whatever field you are teaching) and you just go to their school once a week and observe them while they teach! I’m so happy now! Last semester was awful...

So… my current cumulative college GPA is a 3.6. It should actually be slightly higher because of my MICA GPA and the 2 summer classes I took at AACC, but Towson only counts courses taken at Towson towards your GPA. Still, a 3.6 is not bad! I’m looking to have a 3.7, MAYBE even a 3.75 by the time I graduate. I only have this semester and next semester to do that though! You don’t...

ba-zinga-deactivated20120108 asked: Observation seems fun. I know someone else on here that is doing her observations right now for just general education. She's having fun although it is slightly daunting she said. I hope that goes well for you!

snickerskgb: I got this email, just now. It makes me so angry, that people would even think or consider cutting funding for the Arts. Dean’s list for the 3rd straight semester. This past one means a lot because I was working 2 jobs 35 hours a week plus full-time school and 300 & 400 level classes. And the whole commuting 40 miles each way 4x a week thing.
