Made a display of some of the artwork that was in the Annapolis Mall exhibition! So proud of my kids, I want EVERYONE to see their hard work!!
7th grade ended the year with clay tile designs! I had 2 classes make all the tiles from clay, fired them while kids were sketching ideas, then they painted the tiles! Some outlined areas with sharpies as well. I let students paint whatever they wanted! This freedom made behavior SO GOOD.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t too excited about this project beforehand (just needed a shorter one), but they came out GREAT! Only 2-3 classes left, I’m having guest artists come speak to my classes, and doing small 1 day choice art activities with my classes.
Currently reading! Not bad considering I started A Game of Thrones a little under a year ago! Read the first four (over 1000 pages each) while competing student teaching and my first year of teaching! Phew! Hope to finish this in early summer so I can plow through a long list of books. :)
Yet another awesome print!
I think my handwriting is neater in all capitals than it is normally. Guess I’m writing in all caps on my boards now!
Anyone else feel this way??
My 3 favorite prints!!! Loved this project. :)
Some of the first few prints from 8th grade! Printed on watercolor paper. Love these!!!!!
Started matting works today for the annual county art exhibition! Art instantly looks better matted. So excited!!!! These look so good, and only about half of my kids’ pieces. :)
I’m so proud of my students!
It’s been so nice out lately I’ve been sitting on my porch reading. I’m about 2/3 done A Feast for Crows!
One of my students stayed after to help me clean up/organize. They love me. :)
Tonight’s dinner. :)
Tilapia with mushrooms, garlic, cilantro and lime juice. Soooo good.
Sunday lunch. Homemade fish chowder! Soooo good.
Cream of mushroom soup, garlic, basil, cilantro, mozzarella cheese, cod, sea salt, ground pepper, old bay.
Hung up some artwork on the windows next to my room! 7th grade op art. I love displaying my kids’ work everywhere!
