TUMBLR TEACHERS

Does anyone know anything about the MYP program? It is the middle school version of the IB program— Middle School Years. It prepares students to enter the International Baccalaureate Program upon entering high school.

I will be a first year teacher next year and my school is a MYP school. The other art teacher at my school is being extremely helpful and sending me tons of information, but I was wondering if any of you had any experience with the program?

The unit plan format is very similar to how I was instructed to write units. But how do the skills fit in? What exactly are the AOIs and how do they fit in? And can someone explain the grading system?

THANKS SO MUCH! It doesn’t seem difficult to get the hang of, but as a new teacher I’m trying to understand as much as possible before day one!
