Meet Khaleesi. :) My new kitty!
One of the kitchen appliances I got for Christmas was a panini maker/grill. First thing I made was a panini!! Soooo good, I’m really excited to grill lots of veggies. ;)
This panini was hummus, tomato, mozzarella (soy!), basil, and avocado. DELICIOUS and took 5 mins tops to make.
Christmas lights in the apartment. And Get Him to the Greek is on Comedy Central. LOVE this movie, so funny.
Bought some things at ikea this weekend! My home is becoming our home. It’s wonderful.
Kitchen is done. Artwork hanging, everything organized. It’s so open with a bar that goes to the dining room and a window!
BEAUTIFUL remodeled kitchen, bathroom, HUGE bedroom closet (the picture only shows HALF), and not pictured— a huge walk-in closet in the hallway. LOVE.
New apartment!! So excited, it’s beautiful. Will post more pictures as it starts filling up. :) living room, bedroom, balcony, dining room with breakfast bar counter. :)
12 days
Until I move. I may or may not have gone onto the Sims 3 and built a house that will look like my apartment and furnished it with items that look like the ones I have/I bought.
I have officially ordered internet for my new apartment, and I have also picked up a majority of the furniture I need! Next step is to finish packing, buying, and choose a renter’s insurance plan!
Then get my car insurance transferred to me and picking a health/dental/vision plan.
After that it is just changing my address and calling all of my cards to change that address as well! I am on my way! These next 3 weeks are going to be crazy, but SO SO worth it!
Moving
I was approved for my apartment, by myself, without a cosigner, and with the minimum possible security deposit. It feels so awesome! I move at the end of the month, and shortly after begin having new teacher meetings! I can not wait to decorate my apartment and my classroom! I really could not be more thrilled with life right now!
And let’s not forget that my current camp job is also BEYOND incredible.
I am in the process of moving out this month! I have lived in this house with my parents since 2000. 12 years, minus one, my first year at MICA. The 4 years I was at Towson I lived at home, so I could work 1-2 jobs and pay for my school. This means I have no loans from Towson! This is also why, now that I have a teaching job, it is easy for me to move out on my own.
I have accumulated tons of stuff over the past 12 years though— lots of boxes of things, and even more trash bags to be thrown away/donated.
I could not be more excited to be moving out on my own though!
