I think my handwriting is neater in all capitals than it is normally. Guess I’m writing in all caps on my boards now!

Spent allllll afternoon/night with my other art teacher matting artwork for our county exhibit! We left at 8:00, we hang the artwork tomorrow, but man does this stuff look FANTASTIC! We set all the artwork up for how we want to display it at the show. SO PROUD of my students.
If you’re in the Maryland area go to the Annapolis mall any time between tomorrow and May 16th to check out the work!

Started matting works today for the annual county art exhibition! Art instantly looks better matted. So excited!!!! These look so good, and only about half of my kids’ pieces. :)

I have discovered planbook.com!! I feel like this will be WAY easier for me than writing plans down mainly because I can access this at home/school and don’t need to worry about carrying my lesson planner with me!
I have successfully planned for the next 3 weeks (for all 3 of my grades—12 classes), including MSA tests the next 2 weeks… 3 more weeks and then spring break! After spring break there is 1 week of school and then it will be the FOURTH marking period! :)

I recently graduated Cum Laude from Towson University with a degree in Art Education. During the school year, I am a middle school art teacher in Anne Arundel County. In the summer, I am both a camp counselor and instructor of art camps for youth at my local community college. This blog documents teaching experiences, ideas, and some of my personal artwork.
